Introduction

As a young child, like many I grew up camping. Some of my fondest memories of my Dad always include camping with my 3 brothers and my step mom . On any given weekend we would pack up the dirt bikes and head out to the desert  ,  set up camp and go dirt bike riding  for  the weekend . Other times we just went to the mountains  to  enjoy nature , fish , hike  and relax . Oh and yes I always out fished the three boys ! Cuz that's just what little sisters do ! Later on as we got older my Dad purchased a Coleman tent trailer so that it made camping easier on  him and my step mom .We sure made some great memories camping all those years . And as a teenager when I was old enough to take the pup out by myself ,  I didn't waste any time taking it  out  with friends and making my own memories .
Eventually though , Dad upgraded again and sold the beloved Coleman we all grew up in  . I knew then I would want one of my own someday  , and so after many many years of tent camping , owning various trailers and motorhomes , i've decided to go back to the simple  way of  " glamping " and began the search for a pup of my own . Boy have things changed in  20 plus years !
I started browsing craigslist here and there about a year ago and got serious about it in June of 2016.  I started looking daily on craigslist, joinied a fantastic Facebook group for pop-up camper owners and visiting "The pop up princess " and" Popupportal"  as religiously as I could . I have been trying to learn everything I can , filling my brain with knowledge , my Pinterest page with ideas and my heart with dreams . My journey has been long and often discouraging , but I thought starting a blog about it may help pass the time ,not only for myself but for others in the same situation. Waiting for that perfect pup will all be worth it in the end I'm sure .  I hope you enjoy following along in the journey I have taken so far, and the journey that lies ahead. I plan on sharing things I have learned along the way, mistakes I have made, lessons learned and of course when the time comes the remodel of my new to me pup and all of the great places it will take me ! So pull up a chair , come sit a spell and  lets go on this crazy journey of " The primitive pup " together !
